Ideas And Plans

So. Words. Sentences of a hilarious nature. Copious verbage.
I figure that since I'm now paying by the hour for this here website I should probably start using it as I intended. Then again, I'm paying about one cent an hour, so the saying 'a penny for your thoughts' probably applies pretty well here. So far this cloud server thing is working out pretty well. Unfortunately I've been too busy and lazy in the last few weeks to actually do any of the programming I've been meaning to do to make this thing work better. For the next little while this will have to do. I honestly probably won't have any time to work on this thing till sometime in February, due to two vacations and a totally awesome work deadline coming up.
You know that saying that you don't know what you have till it's gone, etc, etc? Well, I found out that saying isn't exactly true. A few weekends ago I went out drinking with some friends two nights in a row. I would say it was fantastically awesome, but one of the nights was out in Maple Ridge, so that diluted the fantastic just a bit. Well, as I lay on my couch on Sunday recuperating by playing video games, I realized that I hadn't had that much fun in a long time. Then last Thursday night I went to a going-away-slash-screw-you-dude (kidding!) party for someone I used to work with. It turned out to be Awesome ( yes, capital-A awesome ). I managed to wake up the next morning without too many ill effects.
While out grabbing food for lunch today, I decided I need to have more awesome weekends and adventures. For the last year or so, I've been a bit too busy with work to have much real fun. I'd like to change that. I still plan to work on some of the projects I've been cooking up over the last few months, especially the idea for a 2d platformer game. I've also got an idea for a Shadowrun campaign that I'd like to run for my friends ( hooray for real-work interaction! ). But I'd also like to spend a bit more time having adventures while totally sloshed out of my skull. There are times when a man feels like he hasn't spent enough time being drunk, and those are usually a few before or after days having been far too plastered.
In other news, I bought Assasins Creed 2: Assasin Harder recently, and I'll probably be writing up some sort of thing with paragraphs in it concerning that game. It's pretty good, and the quasi-review will probably have many spoilers for both that game and the original.
I've also been thinking about doing some sort of webcomic. This comes after reading through the entirety of the Questionable Content archives in a few days. Jeph is an amazing artist now, but his early strips weren't much to get excited about. But he stuck with it, and is now a very skilled webcomic artist. I have an idea for the art style, but I have to find a sketchbook from high school to remember exactly how the art style works. I've also got a few empty sketchbooks laying around my apartment, which should make for good practice space. I have a habit of buying sketchbooks thinking I'll do something with them, then not touching them at all. I figure I should probably do something about that.
