Bio

Who?

He's a developer living in Vancouver, British Columbia. He's been interested in computers ever since he was about 12 years old when his parents bought a Apple IIc. Ever since, he's tried to learn as much as he could about computers and the various languages that drive them.

What?

Sean is currently emplyed as a PHP/MySQL developer by Vibrant Software, a Vancouver web start-up. He's been working for them since August 2009, and has helped developed several sites for them so far ( which are still under development ). It's a fun job that's giving Sean a chance to grow and learn a few new things.

Previously, Sean was employed as a PHP/MySQL developer by Zeros 2 Heroes Media. He's was employed there from November of 2008 to July 2009, and helped develop several of their sites, including I Love Heartland and ReBoot.

Just as comfortable behind a camera as he is behind a computer screen, Sean enjoys going to local events and trying his best to get as many good shots as he can.

Why?

Ever since he wrote his first 'Hello World' program in Perl, Sean has been addicted to programming. The ability to create anything — from a single page website to a full computer game — using only a compiler ( or an interpreter ) and his imagination has always fasinated Sean.

When it comes to cameras, it's the limitations that interests Sean. With a camera, you have to work with what you have in order to try and get that perfect shot that you're imagining.

Either way, whether it's creating something from nothing, or capturing a moment forever, Sean loves what he does.

How?

Sean built this site using the Zend Framework and the Dojo Toolkit. He's proud that this site passes the W3C Validation Test ( except for a few errors due to Dojo stuff ). Sean is comfortable programming a site from scratch in PHP or Perl, although since discovering the magic awesome that is the Zend Framework, he prefers to work within a framework.
